SUMMARY:Tomorrows Warriors Presents: Donovan Haffner Quintet
DESCRIPTION:The Donovan Haffner Quintet is a band made up of talented 
 young musicians playing the music they love; inspired by American Cont
 emporary Jazz. They capture emotion not only through the compositions 
 but also through the way in which they’re played.\nAlto saxophonist 
 Donovan Haffner has been part of Tomorrow’s Warriors for ten years, 
 being mentored by Gary Crosby, Alex Davis and Binker Golding. Currentl
 y studying at the Royal Academy of Music, and specialising in jazz, Do
 novan has played with a multitude of artists including Moses Boyd and 
 Shane Forbes.\nDonovan’s musicianship has already seen him play Lond
 on gigs at Ronnie Scott’s, Notting Hill Arts Club and the Albany as 
 well as appearing at festivals including We Out Here, Pitchfork, Brain
 child and Love Supreme.\nThis summer has seen Donovan’s reputation g
 row further, performing alongside Kamal Williams at KOKO and being ask
 ed by Jay Phelps to take to the stage for the acclaimed trumpeter’s 
 show at the Jazz Café exploring Miles Davis’ Kind Of Blue.\nDonovan
  is also an accomplished composer and arranger with his quintet playin
 g his original compositions influenced by Joe Henderson, Immanuel Wilk
 ins and Walter Smith, as well as Kenny Dorham, Mark Turner and more.\n

 , charity and consultancy specialising in jazz. Founded in 1991 by Que
 en’s Medal for Music recipient Gary Crosby OBE and Janine Irons MBE,
