 will be tracing the path taken by two armed Latvian Social Democrats o
 ver 100 years ago on 23 January 1909, as they fled from a payroll robb
 ery at Schnurmann's Rubber Factory in Chesnut Road.\r\nPursued by loca
 ls and the police, they ran to Walthamstow and ended at the borders of
  Epping Forest in a chase that lasted around 2 hours. Over 400 bullets
  were fired by the robbers, with fatalities and many injuries incurred
  on the day.\r\nThis all took place in a climate that was already very
  hostile to immigrants (especially those from Eastern Europe) after th
 e passing of the Aliens Act of 1905. Learn about the tragedy and its i
 mpact on the wider political landscape on this fascinating walking tou
 r.\r\nThis walk will be from Tottenham High Road to Tottenham Marshes 
 and will take under 2 hours. Meet: 10:45am (for 11am start) on the cor
