This summer Haringey Council is making sure there’s plenty going on for young people, children and families with a massive range of events, activities and workshops taking place across the borough.
All activities on offer are what young people have said they want to get up to during the six week break from school or college, and the really good news is that most of them are free.
The Summer Fun booklet listing council organised activities and play schemes, as well as those provided by partner organisations, will be sent out to all Haringey secondary schools, leisure centres and libraries in the week commencing 9 July.
Activities will also be listed online on the Youthspace website
www.youthspace.haringey.gov.uk and on the Youthspace Facebook pages www.facebook.com/youthspace from Thursday 5 July.
A new Twitter account aimed at everybody wanting to know what’s on offer in Haringey for young people over the summer has also gone live this week. For the most up-to-date information, pop up activities and opportunities to win prizes over the summer follow Youthspace on Twitter, look for the handle @haringeyyouth
Young people can just turn up to most activities and workshops on the day. But some require registering in advance- either by contacting the organisation that’s running the activity, or by registering on youthspace.haringey.gov.uk. All information is under the activity entry, so please check this carefully.
