A number of tree stems will be carved by chainsaw over two weekends in Alexandra Park. The sculptures will have a sporting theme to reflect the action at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Each tree sculpture will be carved in a single day.
The event will run between 9 AM to 4PM on Friday 3rd to 5th August by the Boating Lake. The sporting themes will be diving, triathlon and hockey
During the previous weekend the action was in the Grove where the themes were discus, cycling and shooting.
After the Olympics the sculpture will be relocated around the Park to create a sculpture trail.
