At Spilt Milk Poetry we don't believe poetry is just for poets. Just look how words fill our days. From text messages, menus, to the lyrics of every song you've ever heard, our worlds are full of words. They shape our lives in infinite ways, move us, inspire us. On the last Saturday of every month, we invite those enjoying the offers of food and drink at Tottenham Social to Write On The Night. This means, periodically, between tasty food and sips, people are encouraged to pen a haiku on a topic or personality of the month. Poets are welcome, of course, and there are open mic slots available, but the spirit of the night is very much come as you are and engage if you'd like. Food and drink brings people together, perhaps with words we can connect a little more.
