DESCRIPTION:\r\nWassailing is an English tradition to wish the Apple T
 rees a bountiful harvest in the coming year. It’s also an excuse for
  a bit of fun! In the Hub and the Orchard in Lordship Rec.\r\n2 – 3 
 pm\r\nLantern making, face painting, wreath weaving for children at th
 e Hub.\r\n3 – 3.45 pm\r\nProcession led by musicians to The Orchard.
  Children bring pots and pans to scare away evil spirits from the Orch
 ard! Gathering around the Wassail Tree. Singing led by Tottenham Commu
 nity Choir. \r\nAll raise a toast (mulled cider or non-alcoholic hot 
 sorrel) to the Apple Trees; children decorate them with fertility symb
 ols (bread/sliced fruit). Collection in aid of the Haringey Migrants C
 entre. Please bring cash.\r\n3.45 - 5pm\r\nWarm up with hot drinks and
  home-made apple bakes, music, poetry, story telling and singing from 
 Hackney Choir, music and mingling.\r\n5pm  CLOSE\r\nAll are welcome. 
 It’s FREE, though there will be a collection in aid of a local chari
 ty, and donations will be welcome towards cost of the food and drink. 
 Children must be accompanied by an adult.\r\nIMPORTANT\r\nPlease come 
 dressed for the weather and note that the ground may be very wet and s
 lippery underfoot. Be especially careful to wear warm and waterproof f
