DESCRIPTION:\n\nTom Stringer is a rising jazz trumpeter, composer, and
  arranger based in London, currently in his third year at Trinity Laba
 n Conservatoire of Music and Dance.\nDrawing inspiration from the expr
 essive trumpet styles of Booker Little and Wynton Marsalis, as well as
  the compositional brilliance of Thelonious Monk, Kenny Wheeler, and D
 uke Ellington, Tom is developing a distinctive voice in both his impro
 visation and compositions, while under the mentorship of esteemed musi
 cians Byron Wallen, Steve Fishwick, and Laura Jurd. Tom is excited to 
 be coming to Karamel after a well-received sold out on their debut per
 formance at MAP Studio Cafe.\nAlready making his mark on the London ja
 zz scene, Tom has performed at prestigious venues such as Pizza Expres
 s Live Jazz Club and Vortex Jazz Club with the National Youth Jazz Orc
 hestra (NYJO) and other big bands. He has also been a featured artist 
 at the EFG London Jazz Festival for two consecutive years. Internation
 ally, he joined NYJO in Berlin for the Young Euro Classic Festival in 
 August 2024. The band is excited to be coming to Karamel after a well 
 received sold out on their debut performance at MAP Studio Cafe.\nKara
