Learn how to SCYTHE, or have a refresher in scything for those who have done it before. FREE. NUMBERS LIMITED. Booking by 7 October - see details below.
People who learned scything at the Meadow last year loved it and said it was a meditative and very enjoyable exercise. The reason for doing it is to preserve the grasslands habitat at the Meadow. It is not a large area, but every bit of grass land is valuable as the UK has lost a shocking 97% of its grasslands since the 1970s (statistic from the Grasslands Trust). Our Meadow has 13 different grass types as well as flowering plants and feeds many insects and birds.
Please let me know By Friday 7th if you intend to come so I can book you in. Say you are attending here, OR email me, Mary, on firstname.lastname@example.org or text 07854 934888.
