Course Details

• In this session you will be introduced the principles of illustration as a means to communicate ideas, stories, emotions and messages through visual language and will gain an overview of the history and contemporary practise of illustration.
• This will be a fun hands-on workshop where we will explore these principles through exercises in drawing, collage, and book-folding.
• Students will be able to put their learning immediately into practice and come away with a mini illustrated book.
• It is suitable for anyone with an interest in discovering illustration, you will be able to learn the principles of illustration whatever your current level of drawing ability. Open to teens to adults.

Tutor
Phoebe Swan has a BA (1st Class Hons) in Illustration from Camberwell College of Art and is currently studying for a Masters in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art.
