June 1 until June 7 is national volunteer week and to pay tribute to all the amazing contributions of volunteers across the borough, and to persuade more of us to commit some of our free time, Haringey Volunteer Centre have organised a volunteer fayre at Bruce Castle Museum between 1-5pm on Friday 7th June.
The fayre will feature stalls from across a range of voluntary sector organisations that are keen to recruit new volunteers into their ranks. Stalls will be manned by existing volunteers, showcasing their work in areas ranging from health, victim support, homelessness, sustainability and much more.
The day will be action packed, with stalls from organisations such as Mind, the Met, the Stroke Association, Groundwork, Age UK and many others on hand to explain the opportunities that are available across Haringey.
The event is free. Refreshments will be on sale and will be provide by Filling the Gap - a community cafe in Tottenham that is part run by volunteers.
