Last year Friends of Priory Park, www.fopp-n8.org.uk in conjunction with Highgate Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club (HCLTC) www.highgate-cltc.co.uk and with funding from Give it a Go, ran a free family tennis coaching course for 18 adults and children.
It got rave reviews “The teaching has been excellent – splitting us up into groups and bringing us back together at the end, clear instructions delivered in an easy to understand manner, approachable and friendly coaches” “It’s been great fun for us all. Thank you”.
So, we’re happy to tell you that we’ve got funding from Pro-Active London [www.pro-activelondon.org] and we’ll be running another free four sessions course on Sundays, March 3, 10, 17 and 24, 2013, from 2.30 – 4.00 pm.
The course is aimed at an adult who wants to introduce kid/s (age range 4 to 12) to tennis or develop their existing skills. You’ll all get to know the basics of how to hold a racquet, how to serve, return and volley. The adults will learn little games and drills to work on with their kids – and the children will get in lots of practice at the mini tennis nets.
You won’t need racquets or tennis balls – HCLTC will provide. You don’t need fancy clothes – just wear something comfortable with trainers.
