This site, near the Manor House entrance to the park, has traditionally been used for horticultural training; and now Transition Finsbury Park has created a new growing space in liaison with Metropolitan Housing - an edible plant nursery and a showcase edible perennial plant bed, propagating more mainstream plants such as currants, raspberries, apples and grapes, lesser known plants such as Caucasian spinach and Siberian Pea trees and experimenting with different grafts. The plant nursery uses four scaffold plank raised beds to the rear of the site, and the large, well-labelled showcase bed is found just near to the site entrance.
Metropolitan Housing uses most of the site for a range of gardening purposes, including a large greenhouse with houseplants for sale.
