Event Description

Creative Recycling workshops combine: Environmental education, Art, Creativity, Ethics and Manual Skills.
Children have the possibility to be introduced to sustainability education and environmental awareness but with the benefit of art and creative activities rather than school-type formal teaching. We will learn by doing and by feeling the concern for our planet and our wish to protect and preserve it :)
We will use a different household waste material each session.

In this session we will talk about paper, the impact of it and ways to reduce, reuse and recycle it. Loo-rolls will be the main type of waste to upcycle in fantastic animals and pencil pots or shakers.

The introduction will cover the topics of animals, habitats (forest, 'farm', woods), deforestation, paper-making process, the 3Rs, recycling process, statistics on paper waste and suggestions to reuse. After the introduction we will spent the rest of the time making craft and hands-on!

All craft material and resources are included in the £5 price and children will bring their craft home with them. Payment on doors.

Children (from 3 to 7 years) must be accompanied by a parent.
