Join a friendly group and learn how to create an attractive rustic tree guard in the Orchard in Lordship Rec. The guard protects the young tree, but looks good too. The Orchard is only 10 years old, open to the public all year round and is planted with a wide variety of fruit, including Apples, Pears, Cherries, Plums, Mulberry, Medlars, Damsons, Greengage...and much more!
All materials and tools will be provided, with the workshop led by Suz Williams, a qualified and experienced coppice worker. All the wood will come from the Hazel trees in the Orchard that are being coppiced the weekend of 5/6 Feb. No experience needed, all welcome.
The workshop is free, but places are limited. It will take place on both Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 Feb. You may book for one or both days. To book a place please email Sally at shaywill@fastmail.co.uk
