SUMMARY:Ceramics Puppet workshop and feast
DESCRIPTION:This workshop series will follow the making process of a c
 eramic faced hand puppet in a little smock frock - from design sketch
 ing to completion. Over the three weeks we will use hand-building & si
 mple ceramic glazing techniques to make our puppets. Over three consec
 utive weeks we will host afternoons of making with final afternoon/ev
 ening feast...\nThe workshops will be held on Sunday 16th, Sunday 23rd
  (from 1pm - 5pm) and Saturday 29th of October from 5pm onwards....\n
 Week 1 - Introduction, Designing & Building\nWeek 2 - Glazing & Decora
 tion\nWeek 3 - Assembly & Feast of Dollies\nWe will first look at maki
 ng designing and building faces & hands from clay, which will then be
  fired in the kiln in preparation for the next week. Tools & clay will
  be provided. The second stage will be to glaze and decorate the puppe
 ts. Help will be available to advise and select suitable glazes and de
 coration for the ceramics parts. Some materials will also be provided 
 to make clothing, skins, scales, wigs & props for the puppets, but of 
 course if you have a specific material in mind please bring along.\nI
 n the final week, following the glaze firing we will assemble the comp
 onents and finesse the final forms. \nAnd we invite you to assemble 
 your final puppet and show them together while drinking and eating at 
 the Feast of Dollies on the final afternoon/evening. \n£95 for all t
