The project has been designed for families so you can come along with your family, no matter how it looks like; you can come with your children or just with the husband or your auntie. We want you to get together and have great time and at the same time learn new creative skills. Under supervision of an artist, experienced educator and community worker Karolina Leonko you will start your adventure with clay and high quality professional ceramic materials and tools. Create a beautiful item to your family home or a present to your loved ones!
Sessions are designed as a fun time so you can drop in any on Saturday you want but we are ready to do continuous and focused work week by week with you. Please don’t forget to book your place due to limited space.
It is good to know that it is important to attend at least 2 sessions of artwork and a pick up.
1. Hand build ceramics techniques -After the first session you have attended, we fire your artwork in a professional ceramics oven called kiln (bisque firing)
2. Surface decoration -After 2 weeks it is ready to do surface decoration using underglazes, oxide based liquids, using various soft china brushes, nylon brushes for details as well as stamps and other tools. Pieces are ready to be glaze (glossy and ready to use effect) when super dry (around 15-30 minutes).
3. Pick up -Later we fire it again (final firing) and then it’s yours ready to take home for the family collection:)
Due to limited space keep your artwork for 4 weeks from the session it is due to get ready fired.
You can choose from 2 slots:
Choose one from the two options from dropping-down menu in the booking form.
Payments in cash at the class:
£15 – 2 people family
£5 – every other family member
We provide all materials and tools, and we fire the artwork after the class at the professional pottery studio.
