DESCRIPTION:Learn to ID local birds and bird songs on our weekly bird 
 survey at The Paddock. Suitable for all levels. Family Friendly.\n\nAb
 out this event\nWe invite you to join us at the Paddock for our weekly
  bird survey in 2022! Whether you are an expert or complete beginner t
 his will be a chance to get outdoors and explore the wildlife on your 
 doorstep.\n\nWhat to expect:\n- A short talk on a bird species or bird
 -related topic each week.\n- A guided transect survey of the whole sit
 e.\n- Help with identifying birds visually and by birdsong.\n-The data
  collected will help us develop the Paddock into a Local Nature Reserv
 e.\n- By booking onto multiple sessions you’ll gain a deeper underst
 anding of seasonal cycles, and improve your I.D. skills.\nPre-booking 
 is essential, book now to confirm a place.\nPlease be aware Eventbrite
  booking closes one day before each surveying event at 5pm.\nIf you ha
 ve to cancel your place for any reason, please get in touch via thepad
 dock@tcv.org.uk or by the contact numbers below to let us know.\n\nWha
 t to bring:\nYou will be issued with a field recording sheet, species 
 guide sheets, a clipboard and a pencil.\nIf you own a pair of binocula
 rs and further ID guides/books, you are welcome to bring them along.\n
 Individual surveys will run outdoors for about an hour, please be sure
  to check the weather/temperature and dress accordingly.\n\nCOVID-Safe
  Measures:\nWhilst social distancing and COVID-safe measures are no lo
 nger legally required, you are welcome to wear a mask if you would lik
 e to. Please consider others' wishes who may still want to social dist
 ance, and always wash hands before eating/drinking on TCV projects.\nU
 nder 18s:\nAll ages can join in the bird survey, the route is a little
  muddy but buggies are welcome!\nIf you want to volunteer and are 16-1
 7 years old please ensure you get in touch with us at thepaddock@tcv.o
 rg.uk, as you will need a completed parent/ guardian consent form to j
 oin in. For everyone aged 15 and under they will also need a parent/gu
