DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join us for our 2023 Bird surveys! This w
 eek we will be surveying at Ferry lanes estates while the Paddock is u
 ndergoing it's Japanese Knotweed removal work\n\nWhat to expect:\n- A 
 short talk on a bird species or bird-related topic each week.\n- A gui
 ded transect survey of the whole site.\n- Help with identifying birds 
 visually and by birdsong.\n- By booking onto multiple sessions you’l
 l gain a deeper understanding of seasonal cycles, and improve your I.D
 . skills.\nPre-booking is essential, book now to confirm a place.\nPle
 ase be aware Eventbrite booking closes one day before each surveying e
 vent at 5pm.\nIf you have to cancel your place for any reason, please 
 get in touch via thepaddock@tcv.org.uk or by the contact numbers below
  to let us know.\n\nWhat to bring:\nYou will be issued with a field re
 cording sheet, species guide sheets, a clipboard and a pencil.\nIf you
  own a pair of binoculars and further ID guides/books, you are welcome
  to bring them along.\nIndividual surveys will run outdoors for about 
 an hour, please be sure to check the weather/temperature and dress acc
 ordingly.\n\nUnder 18s:\nAll ages can join in the bird survey, the rou
 te is a little muddy but buggies are welcome!\nIf you want to voluntee
 r and are 16-17 years old please ensure you get in touch with us at th
 epaddock@tcv.org.uk, as you will need a completed parent/ guardian con
 sent form to join in. For everyone aged 15 and under they will also ne
