SUMMARY:Bird Survey - The Paddock
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to join us at the Paddock for our weekly bir
 d survey in 2022! Whether you are an expert or complete beginner this 
 will be a chance to get outdoors and explore the wildlife on your door
 step.\n\nWhat to expect:\n- A short talk on a bird species or bird-rel
 ated topic each week.\n- A guided transect survey of the whole site.\n
 - Help with identifying birds visually and by birdsong.\n-The data col
 lected will help us develop the Paddock into a Local Nature Reserve.\n
 - By booking onto multiple sessions you’ll gain a deeper understandi
 ng of seasonal cycles, and improve your I.D. skills.\nPre-booking is e
 ssential, book now to confirm a place.\nPlease be aware Eventbrite boo
 king closes one day before each surveying event at 5pm.\nIf you have t
 o cancel your place for any reason, please get in touch via thepaddock
 @tcv.org.uk or by the contact numbers below to let us know.\n\nWhat to
  bring:\nYou will be issued with a field recording sheet, species guid
 e sheets, a clipboard and a pencil.\nIf you own a pair of binoculars a
 nd further ID guides/books, you are welcome to bring them along.\nIndi
 vidual surveys will run outdoors for about an hour, please be sure to 
 check the weather/temperature and dress accordingly.\n\nCOVID-Safe Mea
 sures:\nWhilst social distancing and COVID-safe measures are no longer
  legally required, you are welcome to wear a mask if you would like to
 . Please consider others' wishes who may still want to social distance
 , and always wash hands before eating/drinking on TCV projects.\nUnder
  18s:\nAll ages can join in the bird survey, the route is a little mud
 dy but buggies are welcome!\nIf you want to volunteer and are 16-17 ye
