 welcome at the event\nJoin friends, family and neighbours in tradition
 al seasonal song at our annual outdoor singalong.\nWhat started as a r
 andom gathering of parents and toddlers in the dark 17 years ago has b
 ecome a well-loved local tradition, now with the addition of some ligh
 ting and the park's resident cafe selling festive refreshments to warm
  your vocal cords.\nLed by vocal coach Heather Maîr Thomas and her \"
 pop-up\" Christmas choir, we sing an hour of all the traditional carol
 s in various harmonies and languages.\nThe event has evolved its own t
 raditions over the years. For example...\n\nAway in a Manger: We encou
 rage the children to come forward and sing \"Away in a Manger\" by the
 mselves\n\n\n\nSilent night: To be sung in any language you know. (Pre
 vious languages heard have included Klingon and Cornish)\n\n\n\nWhile 
 Shepherds Watched Sung to the tune \"Lyngham\" traditionally sung in C
 ornwall, because our musical director is homesick.\n\n\nSongsheets are
  available here\nBring a torch/phone\nThe Christmas choir consists of 
 volunteer singers in festive hats, assembled from various singing and 
 friendship groups. We lead from the front to encourage everyone to sin
