Mindfulness is an awareness-based meditation practice that enables us to live more in the present moment. Compassion practices enable us to meet our present moment experience with greater kindness and understanding. By both cultivating and combining these two qualities we learn to move through life with less stress and a greater sense of wellbeing.
This 8 week course follows the evidence-based and internationally recognised Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme. Participants will learn the foundational mindfulness practices as well as a range of practical tools to lower stress, increase resilience, improve focus and concentration, savour life's joys and feel more calm and balanced within life's challenges.
Sessions take place live online via Zoom on Wednesday evenings from 19.00 – 21.00 from 19 January - 16 March 2022 (no class 16 February over half term). Places are limited to 12 people £195 with 2 discounted places available (£95) for those in financial difficulty.
A free taster session is also open to anyone who is interested on Wednesday 5 January from 19.00 – 20.00.
