Modern London life can feel fast and frantic, leaving our busy minds often racing in overdrive. Whilst we can’t change the nature of the world we live in, we can learn to move through it with greater calmness and clarity.
Through this six week course we will take a look at how our stress response works and a range of tools to help manage it. By learning to witness our experiences more clearly (mindfulness) and meet ourselves with greater kindness (self-compassion), we will explore living more in the present moment - learning to savour life's joys and feel more balanced within life's challenges
Through a combination of practices and discussions we will explore:
what mindfulness is and the benefits of cultivating mindful awareness
a range of practices to incorporate mindfulness into daily living
our stress response and simple tools to reduce its impact
self-compassion practices to enhance our sense of wellbeing and resilience
Handouts and recordings will be provided so that participants can revisit aspects of the course at home should they wish to.
Course prices and booking
This course is limited to 10 participants.
The fee is £190 with a £80 non-refundable initial payment required to secure a place.
All sessions are held at Redmond Community Centre, Kayani Avenue, N4 2HF (2 min walk from Manor House tube station).
