A return visit by Duchess of Sutherland on its way to Derby (train continues to Matlock and Rowsley for the Peak Rail heritage line). Return very late, a minute to midnight.
Train starts from Ealing Broadway not King's Cross, reaching Finsbury Park about 1020 (platform 8 I think) and Harringay platform 2 (not the fast line) about 1025 via the North London Line and the King's Cross Incline since the Barking-Gospel Oak line is closed that day.

I know, but they are blighters for frequently not updating the body copy when they post the final timings at the bottom of the page only a few days beforehand - those were the initial estimated/hoped for timings.....
Now restored to full streamlined outline and in pride of place at the NRM, but unlikely to be in steam as you saw it.
And in a nice bit of linking, it was the engine used in a pivotal scene in the 1983 film 'The Dresser' (Albert Finney as Sir, an actor-manager, Tom Courtenay as his harassed dresser), which was shot at York. Try this link.
Thanks Gordon. I went to Haringey station to see the DoS. Splendid.
