Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Flying Scotsman is passing Harringay Saturday morning with the first leg of a nine-day tour round the island, the Great Britain (details here). What time? [EDIT - see below] Don't know yet, neither the Railway Touring Company nor the usual online train time sources have posted any times yet, and may post last-minute or not at all given the spectator shenanigans a year ago on the inaugural run. I'll carry on checking for times and put up a fresh discussion if I find them.

However FS, fresh from the four-trains-in-parallel exploit last Sunday, is coming to London from York Thursday late afternoon. It won't be spectacular, it's only hauling one coach and will likely be coasting through Harringay since the line is on a down grade. Time about 1630 - detailed times here and (live) here.

Four trains running in parallel?? Promo event for Virgin Trains East Coast new toy, the Azuma.  BBC News here, with brief aerial video clip. And searching Youtube for "four trains" works, though the Virgin Trains East Coast offering has jaunty (being kind) music, and the footage taken by people on the ground has helicopter noise dominating.

In the comments it says it's leaving Kings Cross at 7.08am.

Yes I saw that too, you mean a particular comment on the Railway Touring Company site. That comment is dated Feb this year and it may have been a repeat of an aspiration from RYTC, given that they can only put out precise timings from Network Rail 48 to 96 hours beforehand. I'll continue to check sources.

Thorugh Harringay around 0745, departure from Kings Cross 0738, live times here.

It comes from its base at Southall via the North London Line and on to the Hornsey depot before it reverses into Kings Cross so it also can be seen at Harringay about an hour earlier too if you're super-keen, those times here.

Saw it from Hornsey station bridge this afternoon dead on time. It started to steam a bit as it approached on the commuter line. The expressions of the commuters waiting for the Moorgate train as they were confronted with a steam loco suddenly chuntering past their platform were priceless.
