Had to rescue my common brown frog from the neighbour's cat's clutches.   Frogs can scream when terrorised and I did hear an unusual sound.    Fortunately, it was able to hop into my tiny bucket pond.

Yes I have heard that sound I couldnt work out were it was coming from for a while and then realised three frogs had hopped into a bucket that had collected rain water, two had died and one was clearly screaming for his life! I saved him but felt sad for ages about the other two. Make sure I regularly check my rain buckets frequently now and also put the rake through the grass before strimming.

Another wonderful story regarding the frogs in my garden was when one year whilst watching tv I saw a movement and then another and realised for some reason that there were loads of frogs coming under the door and hopping around my living room. It was evening so I guessed I'd better just leave them to it (thankfully did'nt have our cat then) and by morning they had all gone. I wonder what that was all about?

In the native american tradition they symbolise cleansing, renewal and honouring our tears.Frog medicine is akin to water energy, they sing in the songs that bring in the rain (when they are not screaming in fright!)

What other unusual wild life have people seen in their gardens I wonder?

Once I was woken with a loud noise outside my bedroom window and was surprised to see the most beautiful elegant Heron balancing on my fence, this is my most exciting visit. In the native tradition they symbolise self reflection.

And one of my not so regular favorite visitors is the dragonfly. There was one around for the last two early evenings darting around catching the flying insects. They symbolise illusion, breaking through the illusions in life that may hold you back.
