This is a little gem. It shows four disappeared Harringay buildings. On the right is the old station ticket office, centre is the old signal box behind Moka/La Vina, then further back is the Harringay Arena. Finally on the far left is the old St Paul's. Shows how huge the Arena was.

This is taken from the old walkway and meeting point for the Harringay Train Spotters..
Twenty years after this photo was taken, my brother would often bring me here on his bike and we'd watch the evening express departures from King's Cross 'to the North'
wow that's a great picture. perhaps i am wrong but it looks as if the bridge is different too, and that one can see through it rather than the solid structure we have now.
It's a gem, innit. The Arena looks like a spaceship that's been plonked down in a quiet Victorian suburb. It's only three years old at this point and I'm sure that to many people at the time it would have felt like an alien invasion, particularly since the Stadium had been built barely a decade earlier. Imagine how different Harringay must have felt with all the crowds those venues brought in.
I believe the bridge is unchanged but the panelling is certainly different.
I thought the Hogs Back was on the A3? It's the halfway point between Southampton and The Relatives.
the panelling looks latticed.
Yes. You can see it better in this photo - or try the "harringay station" tag under the photo above.
Wow love the steam train!
I've just had the slide from which this was taken digitised and full size the picture's even better. You can even make out Northumberland House and beyond it, the big old houses along Seven Sisters Road that predated the Woodberry Down Estate. This is a real gem.
