This narrow entrance from the tram loading island in Seven Sisters Road was closed in 1950.

Where did it used to come in to the station?

Walked down those steps many a time on my way to work in the City.

So is the long single-storey building on Seven Sisters Road near the station a tram depot?

These steps went to stops in the middle of the Seven Sisters Road. Here is the top of one of the staircases, looking west towards Finsbury Park. The building behind the former pub was a maintenance depot of various kinds, for the Metropolitan Electric Tramways company. For a short period it, or a previous building on the site, was a depot for North Metropolitan Tramways. You can read more about it on this post, mainly in the comments section
